New Blog address

Due to technical difficulties with the templates on here, I've given up all hope of this blog ever looking the way I intended. So, rather than keep messing with it, I started a new one. Please go to www.heltonsx4.blogspot.com

Driving

And of course while at the Space Needle, Kayden had to drive a car.

Trip to Seattle

Even though the weather was not nice, we braved a trip to Seattle on Sunday. We had a little bit of everything, rain, hail, and snow, and even a little bit of sun. We went to the Space Needle and Pike Place Market, then capped the trip off with a huge crab feast at the The Fisherman's.

Grandpa's visit

My Grandpa came up for a visit this past weekend and on the first day the weather was, well, spring in Seattle. Saturday was really windy, so rather than sitting inside brooding about it, Kayden flew his kite. Luckily, our back yard is big enough to do that!

Bed time

Each night, Kayden and I read stories and sing songs before he goes to bed. I try to work it so that Bella is already asleep, so that Kayden and I can have some time to ourselves. Sometimes that works, and sometimes it doesn't. Tonight, Bella joined us for story time. Kayden loves to hold her hand and I got some snap shots of it. Bella had had about enough of story time, as you can tell by the bottom lip.

Fire House Tour

Our playgroup went to the fire station today for a tour. We saw fire engines, met some fire fighters, one of whom dressed up in uniform to show the kids what they would like so they would know not to be scared if one was trying to help them. After, the kids got a bag of fun stuff and a hat. Kayden was a little shy (shocking) and didn't stray to far away from me the whole time, but he did have fun and loves his new hat.

Growing so fast

I'm in the posting mood (avoiding work), so I thought I'd post a picture of Bella. She's 10 weeks old now and rolled over yesterday, from her tummy to her back. She seemed so surprised, then proud of herself. She loves to be talked to and coos and laughs a lot. She's a very happy little girl, well, most of the time. She also likes to stand on my lap. If she's not ready to sit, she gets mad at me and lets out a little squeal to let me know about it. She loves to take baths with Kayden and is learning how to splash in the water. It's so great watching all the firsts come about.
